DUI: Seth Andresen takes 120mg of Methadone before crashing Chevy Avalanche
30-year-old Seth Andresen had a head-on collision in his Chevy Avalanche at the intersection of Harding Place and Jonquil Drive in the early hours of February 22nd. After crashing, Andresen fled the crash and drove away on Harding Place toward Antioch Pike. Andresen was seen swerving out of his lane and seemed to have briefly fallen asleep at the green light before accelerating again. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. Anderson pulled into a nearby parking lot and exited his Avalanche before approaching the patrol car. Officers announced themselves and instructed Andresen to put his hands behind his back, which he refused. Then, Andresen began to push officers, forcing officers to use a takedown maneuver to detain him. Andresen showed multiple signs of impairment as officers Mirandized him. Andresen then became combative, refusing to have a conversation with officers. Officers spoke with Lisa Skimehorn, a counselor at a nearby clinic, who advised officers that Andresen had seen her about an hour before the incident. Skimehorn advised that Andresen took a dosage of 120mg of Methadone. After officers investigated, it was determined that Andresen was responsible for more than $1,500 worth of damage in the crash. Officers also learned that Andresen had a prior DUI conviction from Indiana in 2017. Andresen was taken into custody for implied consent, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence-2nd offense.
