Kristen Dedeaux deemed too drunk for Nashville International Airport
38-year-old Kristen Renee Dedeaux was observed slumped over in her wheelchair near Gate C 14 at Nashville International Airport around 6:15 p.m. on April 27th. Upon arrival, officers noticed her head was down, and she appeared to be sleeping. Officers then approached her and introduced themselves. As Dedeaux provided officers with her identification, she showed signs of impairment with a strong alcoholic odor on her person. She showed officers her boarding pass for a Spirit flight to Orlando, Florida, departing at 6:30 p.m. Dedeaux was unaware she was in the wrong terminal and would not make it onto her flight. Officers advised her that she would need to rebook and asked her if she could walk, which she said she could. However, when Dedeaux stood up to walk, she nearly fell over, and an officer had to catch her so she would not hit the ground. Dedeaux was deemed a danger to herself and others and then was taken into custody for public intoxication.
