36-year-old Jo Lynn Cobenais was sleeping on a park bench on Church Street in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. Nashville Fire Department Medics initially responded to the area, but she declined all medical assistance. Due to her level of intoxication, police were called to the scene and spoke with Cobenais, who stated she was “drunk.” When asked where she was staying for the rest of the night, she confidently replied, “Red Lake, Minnesota.” She appeared to have knee injuries from a fall and could not provide any information on how to get her somewhere safe for the evening. Due to her level of intoxication, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
