Nashville Real Estate Developer Ke Qin charged in DUI crash, open whiskey, blows double limit
Late Thursday night Metro Nashville Police say 41-year-old Ke Qin, who is one of the leading tall-and-skinny real estate developers in Nashville, crashed his car into a residence on Swiss Ave. Qin claimed his brakes went out, causing him to crash; however, officers quickly noted he was extremely intoxicated. Medics were the first to arrive and had cleared him when police arrived and located him in the back of the ambulance. Qin denied any medical transport and became quite 'bouncy' while jumping up and down and bopping around when asked questions about the crash, unable to remain still and stand in on spot. A vehicle search revealed a 3/4th bottle of whiskey in a backseat cooler, and officers say Ke Qin performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He admitted to having two vodka drinks before driving and would later blow a 0.174% BAC on a breathalyzer.
