32-year-old Michael McConalogue was found unresponsive on the street, and police had to be instructed to take him to the hospital before booking him for public intoxication. Michael was on the street by Broadway and 4th Ave when MNPD officers arrived. He was receiving medical attention from a security guard and could not respond in any way to any demand given by the police. He could not stand nor walk but was placed into cuffs, searched, and transported to booking. When they arrived at Davidson's booking, the police officer was instructed to take Michael to the general hospital first due to his inability to walk. EMS was notified that he was being transported for a head injury. After Michael was released, he was placed back into booking.
